TEAM SARCOMA 2010 -- The International TEAM SARCOMA 2010 event was a GREAT success. This year the Amschwand Sarcoma Cancer Foundation and MD Anderson Cancer Center  joined forces for the annual Houston-based TEAM SARCOMA Two by Two walk held at the fabulous Galleria Houston.  Program participants were fueled by a delightful breakfast before embarking upon a team walk through the mall stopping briefly at intervals along the way to learn more about recent advances in the treatment of sarcoma patients.  All participants (approximately 100 strong) were encouraged to "tell two" people about sarcoma thus exponentially expanding our awareness outreach efforts. See photos from the event here.  We also want to extend a HUGE thank you to the Simon Property Group and the Galleria for supporting our efforts! In addition, we want to acknowledge Tracey Ferrin with Ferrin Photography for documenting the day's events as they unfolded.  Finally, congratulations to the Liddy Shriver Sarcoma Initiative for their part in coordinating the international effort.

Important Message to Sarcoma Patients If you or someone you know has been diagnosed with a sarcoma, we urge you to consult an expert who sees many Sarcoma patients each month. Such doctors are found at specialist hospitals particularly NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers. For a list of such centers, click here. This is the single most important piece of advice or information we can offer.
